PANAGPASANGBAY is an Ilocano term that refers to the act of welcoming someone who has been away from his family for a long time.
The word then depicts the theme of DWCL Night and Alumni Homecoming. A very special day of awaiting the return of the sons and daughters of the Divine Word College of Laoag…
…a reunion of joyful thoughts
… inspiring moments
… and nostalgic experiences.
The proceeds of this event shall be used to construct VILLA DIVINA (HRM Laboratory), a project envisioned by the administration as a hostel where HRM students can conduct preparatory trainings and apply their skills in managing a hotel or a restaurant.
This project speaks to the essence of home where we shall await, as we say Ilocano, “pasangbayen” , the coming of our fellow DIVINIANS to spend some memorable days in VILLA DIVINA as hostel guests who will readily reconnect and bring back good old days with classmates, teachers, friends and relatives as well.
Let us join hands in building VILLA DIVINA…
a place where DIVINIANS can call a HOME.
