In view of the emerging trend in the nursing profession geared towards the promotion of evidence-based nursing practice, the University of the Philippines – College of Nursing in cooperation with the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene hosted the 1st Asia Pacific Conference on Nursing Research. The conference with the theme, “Moving Towards Evidence-Based Nursing Practice”, was held at the Manila Hotel lasr September 4 to 5, 2008.
Participants included nursing school administrators, nursing educators and researchers all over the Asia-Pacific region (Hawaii, Philippines, Australia, Singapore, India, Hongkong, China, etc.).
